Redish-Blown spot on 4-stripe Damsel??

Could this be a disease or an injury? Sorry don't have a pic, I can try to take one tonight if that helps.

Its on the right side (on a white stripe) and has a redish-brown appearance. It doesn't seem sick, he eats well and swims all over. It wasn't there when I bought it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

really hard to come up with something without a pic. i would just keep an eye on it, and hope for the best.

the fun of keeping fish in a reef/ possible reef. they are expendable when compared to what is needed to keep the tank safe for corals.

Could it be an internal parasite eating from the inside out? I know it sounds far-fetched, but I had that happen to an angel. I fed him medicated flake food but lost him anyway :<
