red algae maybe brown

I have some type of red looking algae that is on everything snails you name it. It grows flat to the rock and even if you pull out the rock and scrub very hard to get off. Ive tried to get a picture but my camera skills are not that good so it dosent show.

Sounds like cyanobacteria. How old is your tank? What are your tank parameters, inhabitants etc?

ya thats not it I guess I will work on getting a picture of it. I have a 90 gallon that I do a water change of 15 gallons every 2 weeks and laterly 1 week I have a rodi that says 0 tds out put the inpot was high so I think that is right I top off with a mix of oceanic and instant ocean. I feed once perday but will go back to every other day. I six smaller size fish My skimmer is a pro clear skimmer rated for a 300 plus gallons. When I take a pos reading it say zero but im sure that is because the algae is using it. I have cheato in my sump also.
