Recommendations for 46 gallon tank protein skimmer?

I have a glass canopy and only have about 3 inches to work with that is uncovered.. Any recommendations for a good protein skimmer that wont break the bank?

The Octopus line gets good reviews, and I have had good success with a CPR BakPak 2R as well.

ive tried the coralife, remora, remora pro, and now im using a Octopus in sump. My octopus outperforms the other skimmers. Coralife skimmers are good, but you get more of a bubble column with the octopus series, which is term means better skimming. There all good......but the Octopus is my favorite
