Rare reef fish photos
Hi all,
This is my first post here, so I will introduce myself. I am a marine biologist and my research involves diving around the world to collect fish samples for DNA analysis (tough life! ). I've had fish tanks for a long time but haven't had one in the last few years because I am moving a lot. But that doesn't stop my passion for aquarium fish, especially reef fishes and Bettas.
I do a lot of underwater photography too, so I will post some pics of rare reef fish here. Looking forward to hearing more about reef keeping!
The first one: African Angelfish - Holacanthus africanus

Comments welcome!
Luiz

Hahahaha, didn't know you were here Leslie! I am itching to build a reef aquarium but I think I will move out of Hawaii within the next two years, so don't want to set it up just to take it down later...

Yep, University of Hawaii...
Here is the juvenile of the African Angelfish:
Much more colorful than the adult... Both photographed in Sao Tome island, West Africa.
