Rabbitfish

Just an observance I have made, but do all rabbitfish have hazy eyes? I have had several varieties and have also noticed in LFS that all of them seem to have hazy/scratched looking eyes.

Doliatus, Virgatus and Foxface all do.

I kind of wonder whether it may be because they spend so much time in shallow water where the sun is real bright. Maybe the shades are a kind of sunglasses.

At least it doesn't appear that it is something wrong with them. That was my biggest concern.

My one spot has slightly hazy eyes.....I never really noticed until now

You know how your mom said eat your carrots and you'll see good,and then she'd add you never see a Rabbit wear glasses.So Rabbit fish usually don't eat carrots.Maybe that why!

Yeah mine had hazy eyes as well. I almost didn't buy him because I thought he was sick.
