Quiet or Very Quiet pumps

Who makes some very quiet pumps? I am looking for flow of 1000-1300 at 0' head pressure.

Currently have a quiet one 5000! Externally setup!

Can be internal or external pump!

I am fixing to buy a blueline velocity T4 this weekend just because it is suppose to be the quietest pump made. It also pushes 1200 gph at 0' head so it might be just right for you.

Now the downside is that it supposedly adds approx. 2-4 degrees to your water temp. This is because of a special way that it uses your tank water to cool itself...and is the reason it is so quiet. Apparently, you can't tell if it is running unless you touch it it is so silent.

Also, I have heard that the Sequence series and the Dolphins are very quiet, but also have a higher price tag and really large in/outs which can cause some plumbing headaches.

By the way, the T4 has 1" insert in/outs so that can cause some plumbing problems also...gotta use flexible tubing.

lets see, i have 4 velocity pumps. they are the only pump i will buy for under 1200gph. they literally are that quiet. it is amazing. the only other pump that came close was the original Quiet Ones. the all metal jobbies. they were also great, the later ones had problems overheating and cracking when used in SW, to viscous.

the T4 do run hotter than the others. they may also need to be cleaned more often. this is just a quick soak in a vinegar solution. the Ca buildup will just fall off with little effort. Ca likes to form on hot surfaces.

they are now distributed through Blueline. they are their T series of pumps. for a while they were distributed by Coralsealife. there are also stainless steel versions of the pump out there. they are distinguished by the letter S instead of the letter T.
