quiet one pumps
Whats the deal with these? Im looking at the 3000 and on drs it says that tey are not self primintg? what does that mean? are they good pumps?

not self priming means that it will not suck water through the plumbing if there is air between the pump and the water. so the pump will have to be setup underneath the sump waterline so the water drains into the pump

No pump like that is going to be self priming.
I hate quiet one pumps, I bought 3 of them at the same time (the 300GPH ones) and they were all as loud as the day is long unless fully submerged. I now use them for mixing salt.

i have the 1200 i like it, super quiet, but it is submerged so... touch call.

Yes, well no, uhhh,... once it gets water in it then it is primed, still not self priming, but you will never have to prime it.

any pump if submerged will pump after an outage, self priming means if it is pumping from the sump and the pump is located higher than the water, it will actually pull water up to the pump. your fine if you want that one.
