question on dual chamber calcium reactor?
ok Im hooking up my dual chamber calcium reactor on my 75 reef tank...
what is the purpose of the dual chamber??? Is it for a rise in ph? or is it for a system that is jammed with sps to keep up with the demand?
Thanks Joe

It does both. It allows you to add more media to the reactor and will also buffer the pH up about half a point (so if you keep the pH in the first chamber at around 6.6, the effluent coming out of the second one will be around 7.1-7.2).

...and it will scrub out the excessive CO2 from the returning water (which ends up boosting your calcium and alk a bit) in addition to the above listed advantages.

It looks twice as cool as a single chamber model and folks who know nothing about reef equipment will think you are twice the geek.
