What are you concerned about specifically, I think we may need more info. Are you concerned about heat, cold, moisture, space?

From what I have heard you want a room that can be aired out as it will get humid, especially if you have a big system. You'll also want a floor that you can get wet, clean and possibly drain.

Ok I have a floor that can get wet. Venting is not the issue the issue is the heat in the Garage it's hot as hell in there in the winter I can do a small heater if need be. My question is the heat VS the chiller my chiller works overtime during the day and the house gets to 83 the garage has to be way hotter. Do you feel the chiller would not be able to keep up with the heat. The room is going to be 6ft by 6 ft I have a 75 R tank and a 55g Sump the tank is on the other side of the wall roughly 8 ft away.

You are going to need to vent a 6'x6' room, for humidity and for cooling. I'd suggest an AC if you can.

The chiller may be fine if it is rated to drop the tank temp a certain amount.

Also I'm finding your posts difficult to understand because you do not use punctuation. It might help get more responses.

Putting an AC in the Garage is not in my plan. What part of the post is difficult.?

If your garage is really that hot, then you really should think window unit AC for the fish room, even if you vent it into the garage. Then maybe you could get rid of the chiller and just use a couple fans blowing across the water instead...just a thought.

Maybe you can put a frig in the room and run the return line through it like a beer mister
The key is a chiller. Sell the one you have and get a bigger one . 6x6 is great for a fish room . Best of luck and don't forget pics

Ok so what do you think though should I do it. I have a JBJ 1/10 hp chiller tank is 75 G. Do you think I will need a bigger chiller.

If you add and insulate the fish room, figure out how to set the chiller up so that it dumps heat outside your fish room.
I am getting the impression that the 75 is not an inwall setup, correct?

If you insulate it enough, that should help out a LOT. I would do a few layers in your walls. You could get something like this at Homedepot.
http://www.kingersons.com/portable_ac_9000E.html

Then your good to go. Thats made to cool a room at 250 sq feet without a problem. im sure it can handle a 6x6 room. As long as your door sills are good and tight, and your insulation is great, that probably wont kick on but a few times a day. And it SHOULDN'T kick on at night at all, unless its just that warm outside. Do you have an idea on where your going to put everything? Also if you want to see one of the best fish rooms Ive ever seen....they are in my reef club here locally and have an AWESOME setup. Just for ideas heres the link.

LOL OMG I dont think a Hospital is that Sterile Ok the 75 is not in the wall but I am looking in the near future to upgrade to mabye a 125. I want to have the filter and everything already out of the way so I can just do a tank swap. If the house during the day gets to 83 I didnt temp the garage I would think it gets hotter it feels hotter.

That's similar to how mine will be setup, I have everything there, I just have not plumbed it in yet. My WC reservoir will be more like a remote 2nd sump that I can bypass and drain the fill with RODI (from the reservoir directly above it) add salt, mix for 24hrs and then return to operation by opening a couple valves.

Well if you don't know how hot it gets, how do you think we would?I have to say(seeing we don't know how much sun gets to your garage(covered with trees over & around it?))Yes you need a bigger chiller. Not shure where in Jersey, but most get pretty hot and humid.

it gets sun most of the day no trees around it if I had to guess id say close to 90 it feels but I am gonna temp it. So it's either a bigger chiller or AC the room.
