Question for 400 watt XM 10K bulb users

Hello,

I've had an 400 watt XM 10K bulb running on an M59 (probe start) ballast for almost three weeks and other than it being yellow as opposed to white, it's OK. Well, within the last 18 hours, it's started to flicker frequently (every 15 mins or so). I've checked the connections, they are fine, reseated the bulb, etc. Didn't find any odd issues.

Three months sure seems too short a time for a bulb. I can move it over to an identical ballast but was wondering for any ballasts experts out there if this bulb maybe isn't meant for this ballast?

Any suggestions?

do you have an old bulb to throw back on the ballast. if that bulb also flickers than it could be the ballast and not the bulb. just something else to try. i keep an old HD bulb around just for this purpose. now i have my old iwasakis also for those emergency replacements.
