Question about lighting/replacement bulbs:Current Orbit lighting

I've got a current orbit lighting fixture (http://www.petmountain.com/product/l...l-actinic.html), and need to replace the bulbs. Looking at many previous posts, I'm gathering that there are some better bulb options than the current bulbs that came with the light (http://www.marineandreef.com/Product...02034&CartID=1
and
http://www.marineandreef.com/Product...02036&CartID=2) .

I am unable to find any other replacement bulbs at the LFS that can fit into this light. I'm going to have to order the bulbs online, and am open to trying a new brand, if it would be better.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where to even start looking?

Thanks.

-Andy

I would go with the 10,000K daylight bulb and the Dual Actinic.

The dual daylight is actually 1 6,500K and 1 10,000K. The 6,500 is more of a yellow light that is good for plant growth (i.e. algae).

There is nothing wrong with the Current bulbs. Just shop around for the best price and keep in mind how much shipping is going to be.

The Current PC bulbs are actually pretty good. I have set them up side by side with Coralife and some other brands of bulbs in the same fixture and the Current bulbs are noticeably brighter. I would go with the 10K and the Dual Actinic as recomended already. Make sure you check to see if you need straight or square pin bulbs.

Go to my "1 Year Later" thread and you can see the difference between 50/50 and 10.000K.

I bought from Doctors Foster and Smith.
