I am going to be setting up a
quarantine tank to deal with some red bugs (yuck). I’d like to keep it up and running permanently for emergency use and for when I buy new corals so that I don’t infect my main tank anymore. I know, I know… I should have been using one all along. I’ve learned my lesson now. So do I need to keep this tank lit with a lighting cycle or will it be fine to leave lights off until needed (keeping up with waterchanges, filter changes and top offs, of course).
The tank will be a 10g BB with minimal live rock and an AC110 for circulation and filtration. I don’t have lights for it as of yet but will have a 175w MH temporarily hung high above the tank.
