Quarantine question


Just bought a 2" blue regal tang or blue hippo, I heard they are very prong to ick the LFS just got this fish so how long should I have this fish in a quarantine tank? and with copper or without?

I would say a week to ten days with copper.But even doing this when there in the tank they can get stress easy any time.Which ick can come and go.So I would also add the garlic guard to his/her food all the time to help prevent it.

thanks loverotties, right now I'm acclimating the fish to my tanks water and temperature and also the same water that's in the quarantine tank so should i just aad the reccommended dose of copper to the QTank and the add the fish/ or should i acclimate the fish to the treated water?

If your fish is going into your QT tank always acclimate it to that tanks water.

Yes always acclimate.Also if the QT is kinda new watch the ammonia levels, as some time a not so astablash(spelling?) tank,the bacteria can crash with copper.
