Putty

I know, this question's been asked a thousand times before......I just picked up a tube of Plumber's Putty, as I've heard of people using it for attaching frags. Can I do this out of water, and submerge it immediately? Or does it need a couple minutes to cure? thanks

Works better if the two surfaces are dry; other wise it really just make a snug fit. Corals can take air exposure without any harm for a short while.
