pure water?
I was wondering what to do to get pure water. I have well water and i know ro water is the best, but i see these water filters in doctors foster and smith there called tap water filter. they say they produce perfect aquarium water. It say it has " activated carbon, color changing ion exchange resin, electro right and ph adjuster? so is it any good for salt water if not what is the cheapest ro sytem out there im tierd of paying high prices for ro water. I would like to have fresh ro water at home.
thanks

the "Tap Water filters" from API (manufacturer) work well, but they do not last long at all. I suggest (since you are on well water and likely have a high silicate count) that you purchase and RODI like mentioned above or use distilled water from walmart or other supplier. Walmart is $0.69 a gallon (i have heard that Kmart is like $.049 a gallon) for distilled water.

I'm with Tony . Save your money for a while and in the mean time buy distilled water at Wallmart or Kmart. That's what I did. Once you have the money there are plenty of places to get them . I also have a PWC RO/DI unit which was 100. bucks . Make sure it's "DISTILLED" not "SPRING" water. They always mix them up at my Wallmart

i personally cant agree with going to pure water club but thats not to say that a majority of people aren't happy with them ....but i'd spend the extra $20 and get it from BFS ...where you can call and get immediate answers to your questions and customer service if something isnt right

I just get distilled at the supermarket for top offs and mix my own for water changes. You'll want to run it in a bucket with an extra powerhead and heater all day.
