pump for sump return and pump for closed loop

yet again... here i am, asking you to critique my choise of equipment.

so the plan is to buy two more pumps.

one will be for my sump return to the tank

the other will be for the closed loop system (using an oceans motions supersquirt compact with V3 drum)

Sump return : Pan World 40PX - OR- Poseidon (blueline?) PS1

Closed loop : Pan World 50PX-X

thanks!
J.

90 gallon tank
29 gallon sump.

i already got a Mag5 that i was going to use as my sump return, but i think that i'm going to keep that one for another tank that will only be used to mix saltwater and cure liverock etc...

a Mag7 for the skimmer (as that was the recommended pump for it)
i like the idea of skimming more water than the return pump is able to process. that way i'm sure no unskimmed water will go back to the tank.

any other details that i forgot to mention... just ask

On my 90 i use a dart for the closed loop and a mag 12 for my return for a 38 gallon sump. Although, i have a T coming off of the return that T's again andruns through a chiller 24/7 and a canister filter at times as well. So the mag 12 is doing the job of always 2 pumps sometimes 3. Its agreat way to go if you run a chiller and/or canister filter.

are the blueline and pan world pumps one and the same ?

from the pictures, they sure look alike.. and the specs the same also.

can someone confirm this ?

pan world 40PX == blue line 20JHD
pan world 50PX-X == blue line 30HD-X

i think a Velocity T1 would make a good return. that way if you wanted some extra monster flow you could put an eductor on the end and instead of about 500gph on the return you will get closer to 1500! the T1 is an extremely flexible pump.

not sure what i would put on the CLS for a 90g tank. prolly a Dart or something along those lines. something with a huge outlet size so that the flow is high but the velocity of the water is not.

G~
