puffers

One day, when my tank is ready, id like to get a puffer, it is going to be a fish only tank, right now i have a couple of striped damsels, but what exactly do puffers get along with, and what are their foes, they are so cool, are there any side effects from having one?

Hi there! I had a Valentini Puffer in my reef tank for a long time. Awesome personality and loved the way they move around the tank. The puffer got along great with the other fish! Had to return the puffer when I upgraded my lights and purchased a few clams!

Puffers can be great, but they can be disasterous. I had one many years ago in a F/O tank. Something spooked him and he released a neurotoxin into the water that killed everything. Think of sushi - fugu. Thats why it's so expensive - takes years of practice before the master sushi chef turns over his knife.

id like to get a little one, i think that would be the coolest thing, but there are no like rivals with the puffer? thats what im concerned about.
