Problems never Stop! Tunze 3155 problems

But a bit of a rough road for me starting out. Still have gotten skimmer Fully dialed in... So bought a Tunze 3155 osmolator. After install was running great.....pump came on a few time and went right back off..( had pump in 5gl bucket with about 4 gl of fresh RO....10 min later go back in room and bucket is empty and pump running dry....The Sensor Failed!!!!!.......messed Salinity up!!!...took about a hour to get things worked out....

I did read some other post ) some were) about people having the same issues....

Gonna call tunze and see if they will help.

I looked at the Tunze and was very hesitant due to the type of sensor used... too much technology for me (not to mention way too much money) I prefer the old float switch setup that I designed myself.

You need to talk to Roger from Tunze USA. A good start would be to post in the Tunze forum at www.reefcentral.com Roger is great with customer service and will definatly help you out.

Retraction of last statement!...Tunze 3155 working great so far. Talked to ROGER, He helped me and walked me threw the thing to check and do.

Eveidently, when sensor is new it actually attracts bubbles and the sensor cant decipher between water bubbles and air, causing my Tunze to not shut off properly! told me to clean it in hot soapy water. Did that for an hour to make sure, and repositioned the sensor back to a different location in my sump with less/no bubbles. and had been working GREAT ever science!

Thanks Roger!
