CNN is not the best place for this kind of info, but at least they are trying.

"Ausubel said there are nearly 16,000 known species of marine fish and 70,000 kinds of marine mammals. A couple of thousand have been discovered during the census." thems is a lot of swimming mammals, no wonder the fish are being over fished.

Cool stuff! I like to hear about new critters. Its a nice contrast to all the doomsday articles and such. The unknown of the oceans is something very cool!
