Question

Preganant Star or Just eating snalis?

Check these pics out. Now I only have one of these guys in my tank and have witnessed him eat a whole snail shell and all. May have been dead or dying.
What do you think now?

Omnivore, will eat anything dead or dieing. A great scavenger, but also an opportunist, so be aware that these Green Serpent Sea Stars are quite aggressive feeders, and if not fed directly, may take an occasional fish specimen or other creature that has been left behind by the pack...

I figured a snail as well as it looks like a small one. Do they spit the shell out or digest that as well. looks like he may be needing some more food. He is a big Booger.

Are starfish a-sexual?

The last one I saw him eat was .....I beleive a dead one. I ordered a few and he wans't moving when put in the tank. About 15-30 minutes later I saw the star come over and gobble him up.
