power compacts

hello,

I have a question. i have 2 custom sealife prism pendants that each have 250wt halide and 2 32wt power compacts.

My question is im getting ready to change bulbs,and want to go back to coralife bulbs.The power compacts are 32wt from custom sealife but the coralifes are 28wt.Will the 28wt work in the 32 wt fixture.The manufacturer of the coralife bulbs said it will and custom sealife does this just to corner the market on their bulbs.
