does anyone know anything about pulse coral classification?

I can't get to my coral books at the moment - Hopefully someone will chime in with the latin name and classification - all I know off the top of my head is it's soft coral Xenia sp

Shalom and welcome to TRT!

There are generally two locales for Pom Pom. One from the Red Sea and one from Fiji. I believe both are Xenia Umbellata however.

the moderator here said it isn't true, that red sea pulse is sometimes refered to as pom pom it should not really be due to it's growth form. There are many types of 'Pom Pom' but their classification is far from complete, as is the case with many of the other species of pulse corals too.
