PODS...Too many too much????

ok this question came up on a previous thread but was never fully answered so ill try it here...yall have never failed me
Quick Background:
-Tank is 6-9 months old
-was going good then ICK
-ok ok ok chalk that to experience
-because mother nature loves me so tank cycled again.
-NO LIFE IN TANK
-then from some LR that I bought from my LFS that was uncured(only cured for half time that LFS recommended)PODS...horray
-then got some xenia and montipora coral really cheep from a friend
-then bought a mushroom polyp
I HAVER NEVER HAD CORAL, this is a first
-all are well, and doing fine..horray part 2
-at the same time I purchased a mandarin dragonnet and a scooter blenny (my favs, from my fav LFS they quarienten,I cant spell)

ok so I have some life again,

heres the question, for about 2 months I had nothing in the tank but PODS. They had 75 gallons to roam. NOW I have hundreds and hundreds, they are getting big too...ike 1/4-1/2 inch in size the mandarin and the scooter are having a blast...but they arent eating too much...(IE overfeeding)
SO will this pose a problem to the corals???? will this be a problem overall
IS there such a thing as too many PODS?????

Glad we haven't failed you! I wouldn't think so, if they are running over the corals and causing them to retract that might be a problem, but I wouldn't think so. You say 30 lbs of LR right? The bigger issue is gonna be to make sure there are enough pods that the 2 dragonets won't starve (yep, a scooter blenny is actually an oscallated dragonet). If you can i would get more LR if the population starts to dwindle significantly in the coming months because more LR= more Pods. You don't have to neccessarly see them in the day, as long as you can see some running around at nighttime, when they come out of the rock! Hope it helps!

Will You Send Me Some? I'll pay!

If you want to remove some of the Pods I would suggest you place Coarse filter pads in the tank. They love the texture and will roam around in it. You can remove the pad and the PODS respectively.

And if your willing I will pay you for some .... I have a thin Mandrin from a friend who I am taking care of.... PODS sure beat Brine and they reproduce themselves....

I would repeat the Filter pad trick for a while until you have the desired amount and get some more liverock too...

I believe that eventually your mandarin and scooter will catch up with the pod population....you are lucky actually - you have a chance of keeping your mandarin alive....most of these starve out in peoples tanks in about 6 months because they deplete the pods and then have no food........Good Luck....yay for pods!

well well thanks for the replys

as for seeing them at night....ohhhhh yeah I see them alright. By the truck load. But as for running out. I played it smart this time, I have a small 10 gallon next to the 75. I was going to sstart a refugium but ran outa cash... so there is just a tank with a small powerhead and crushed coral and a couple small pieces of LR. I thru come pods in the small tank that way they can breed in there.
as for my levels
amm <0
trates <0
trites <10
grav is 1.023 (im at work so I think thats right)
PH is 8.2-8.4 (8.4 at dawn and 8.2 at dusk)

Ill try to take a pic of the little buggers....they are silver/grey 2 antenna "shrimp like" tail...(IE they curl it up at times) fast as all heck and a good fod sourcs for both mandarin and scooter. (I saw the mandarin gorging on a big one today)

ill try to post a pic in the morning when I get off work
(I work 6PM-6AM)

again thanks a buncha
