Pods attacking zoos?

I have been catching these pod looking things all over my new zoo frags. It looks like they are eating them at night...

Are these pods? Am I just freaking out for nothing? AHH!

I came in tonight with like 5 of em on one small frag...

Yes its a pod, one of the larger varieties, and no its not eating your zoos. They WILL however eat different corals that are already dead or near death.

Have you actually noticed any damage to your zoos??

not really. the new frags might have been a little stressed from shipping.

The pods in my tank always attack anything that's decaying. They're kind of like littel vultures in that regard. They might be cleaning some dying tissue off of your frag pieces.

It can become a problem if they are too aggressive. I had an open brain with a small incision that gradually became much larger because of the copepods constantly feeding on the loose tissue.
