PM E-mail notification bug
If you are using e-mail notification for your private messages and get a response that looks like this please let me know. I am trying to get to the root of the problem now. :
You have received a new private message at The Reef Tank from xxxx. Please click here to log in and read it::
http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/private.phpp
Thanks,,
The Reef Tank team
The problem is the extra "p" at the end of the link as well as putting in an extra colon and comma. If your e-mails look like this, let me know. If your e-mails are coming over normally, that would also be helpful to know.
Thanks-
Brooke

Mine seems to come thru OK but I notice that when I click yes when asked if I want it to open in another window, it goes ding and I have to open it from the forum menu. FWIW it seems to have started about the time I upgraded to NS 7.0 anyone use this browser?

I'm thinking, from reading the above, they don't, er-r-r, understand, um, the question. It may be just me having this problem, but I'll further clarify the problem just in case I'm the only one having a problem with PM.
When I hit the link in my personal email, the extra "p" at the end of the URL gives me a "page not found" message, or something like that. If I backspace off the extra "P" in the URL, then hit enter, then I'm in my PM mail box.
Is anyone else getting the extra "P" at the end of the address in the link they click on to open their pm mailbox???
* private.phpp * should say * private.php *
This started happening upon my return from the lovely PNW.
Thanks,
Shirley

Well...I'm going to unsticky this for now. Once again, if you are using private message e-mail notification and you are getting a link in the e-mail that looks like this: http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/private.phpp
PLEASE let me know!
Thanks-
Brooke

Hi Jay-
Click on usercp above to get to the control panel, then click on edit options...then look for this:
Send you an email when you receive a Private Message?
Is that marked yes? Let me know . I like the pop-up window option for private messages. I always know when I have one and I have the option of reading it right away or not.
Brooke

I think that if you don't read the first PM that you get the others won't pop up.
