Plumbing question

With the recent plumbing I did for my skimmer and trying it out the first time, I got a little surprise, pvc shavings, that didn't get cleaned out of the pipe shot into the sump and then into the main tank. There wasn;t a lot of it, since i had cleaned the tubing with water first, but I do have some in there now. Is this harmful to the tank and should I siphon them out?? Or just let them settle to the sand and become part of the sediment??

They wont hurt anything unless a fish swallows it. If you can get em out easy OK if not dont sweat it

I was a little worried about it. Was going to siphon them off or stir them up and grab them with a really fine net or nylon. I hope they don't... they are no bigger than sand grains so they shouldnt think they are food items. Though the goby might get a mouthful... they dont swallow the sand though right??
