I got my damsel last week, today I have notice one red spot on he's phen, it sort of raisd up like a small bump.
he look like he is doing well,
I feed him twice a day.
I have the light on for 12 hours,
and I have the temp set on 80 degree.
please corect me if I am over doing the light or the feeding.

by the way it is a seven galon tank with 7 hermit crabs
and that one damsel.
what could it be ?

I feed out fish once every other day and it's a 100gal. It sounds like it may have been injured, or maybe a parisite, got a pix??

If I were you, I would return that damsel to the LFS and get something else. If you try to add any more fish to the tank, it'll harass it. We have 3 in our 100 (wife wanted them) but the other fish are bigger (tang) or meaner (tomato's, psudochromis). They are very territorial, one of them likes to remove the coral that I have placed in their area. That's what epoxy is for.

Suggestions, yellow watchman goby, purple firefish, clowns ???? not all of them one or two.

not much room in a 7 gal tank , I would suggest returning the damsel and looking for something small and cute like one of the clown gobies or a Rainford
