Plate coral swelling

Ive had my plate for some time now but just moved it off a rock into the sand a couple of days ago. Actually, right after the sand sifting goby died. A little while ago, I looked at him (lights still off this morning) and he was swollen more than i've ever seen. Is this just normal and now he's happier that he's in sand?

The 2 pics show him a few weeks back (on the rock) and then this morning.

Thanks

He doesn't look bad to me,... Did he get something to eat? My open brain always gets that super satisified look after eating.

Whiskey

I think this little guy (looks like a worm with lots of tenticles is touching him. I can't recall what it's called. Do you think that would irritate the plate?

i had one close to the same as that one. I do feel that they like the sand and not the rocks. It would puff up like yours and fill with water, and other times it would be flat. It would never stay on the rocks, but i kept putting it back up there, i am still learning.
