Planning my SW Tank?

I am planning My SW Tank, and have a few questions. I currently have a 55 Gal. FW and I am planning on getting a 46 Gal. Hex/Corner tank. Which would be best for SWFO? Also I am Starting my SW Shopping list:

1. Sand - Argonite Playsand
2. Master Test Kit
3. HOB Protien Skimmer - Red Sea Prizm or CPR Bak-Pak 2
4. Filter - Penguin Duel Bio-Wheel 350 or Rena Filstar 2 (Which one for the SW tank?)
5. Salt Mix

Is there anything I am leaving out or should consider getting

I would use the largest tank possible you may want to consider the largest you can possibly afford to skip a step in between tanks. You'll want a larger one down the line trust me! also I would consider a good skimmer

If you get live rock (LR) that will be your filter.

!st welcome to TRT!So your not going to have SWFO your having SWFOWLR big difference then insted of filter with bio wheel you use the LR as your filter as for the skimmer I would go for Remoroa Aqua C Pro or the Coralife HOB skimmer!
