Pistol shrimp?

Ive been doing some research on Pistol shrimp, and am planning to purchase one. I have lots of LR work and crevices, but i do not have sand (gravel). I know they prefer sand to dig in, but do you think it will be ok with the gravel? Also do you know any long lived/better to keep kinds of Pistol shrimp? If you guys think the Pistol shrimp would be better left at a LFS, I'd consider a different kind of shrimp.

P.S i already have 1 coral banded shrimp in my 65gallon along with a clarkii clown, foxface, 3 stripe damsel, and 4 turbo snails. Should i get a goby to pair with it? Sorry bout all the questions but i want to be 100% what i buy can fit nicely in my tank.

I have a shrimp. He is pretty cool(when he comes out). Not sure about the no sand situation. A goby would be cool. Just make sure they are compatable. Not all shrimp and gobys form relationships.

I would think the pistol will be ok. He can go places the banded can't if he feels threatened. I definitely would't put another banded in there. Maybe someone else will have some input.
