Pink Star Polyps vs. Cat's Paw
My friend has a pink star polyps growing right up against a Cat's paw coral. The battle for space has been taking place for over a year. If you had to choose, which one do you think would win? Probably set it too long but the poll closes in 7 days. I'll give the winner when votes die down.

Cats Paw? That's a nickname for Pllicopora right? If so I say the star pylops will win.

Im not sure ive ever actually seen any "sting" from star polyps against another coral...........However, ive lost quite a few corals in a loaded reef tank to star polyps via smothering though. Once that tank in question came down star polyps are no longer allowed.
I would like to see these "pink" star polyps if they are actually entirely pink...dont think ive seen that before
Star polyps will win a battle with a stylo no question

You guys haven't seen pink star polyps? They aren't brown and they aren't green. They aren't flourescent pink like certain zoos. But definitly a type of pink fleshy color. I'll get a pick in a couple of weeks when I'm there next.
And I think Fly Guy's pics shows how fast GSP grow. If it was a growing race the GSP would win by a landslide. Other than Xenia, I don't know of a coral that grows as fast as GSP.
So should I announce the winner or should we get more votes?

Cool, I realized I had a pic from over a year ago. In this pic there are PSP GSP and the cat's paw in the upper left corner.
I'll get an after pic in a couple of weeks to show the difference.

I should be able to get some picks next Tuesday, but the winner in real life is the cat's paw. Tough stuff. SO if you bet on the cat's paw, you win!

They look like Clavularia to me, not star polyps. Of course, common names...you can call anything anything.
