Pictures of the new mis-barred clown!

Here's some pictures of my new clown, and a couple of my blenny and corals.

Heres the mis-barred clown that I love!

Heres King Rex and his Jester
King Rex is of course the Algae Blenny chilling in his throne, with his Jester to amuse him.

Heres another shot of the King!

Last, heres King Rex and the clown (still haven't chosen the name yet, suggestions for a Jester?) playing together!

Hope you liked!

I know!
When I went to the LFS I was hoping for a small clown.
Although this guys a little on the big side, I couldn't resist!

def. cool looking looking fish. have been seeing many misbarred clowns at lfs around here. does anyone know why they r misbarred? are breeders playing "god" or nature recreating itself?

Beautiful fish! It's cool that even though it's a "misbar" the stripes still match. Defiantly a unique fish.

IMHO. Breeders aren't playing God. At least not with fish like this. Its parents and most of its siblings probably have normal markings. I'm not sure of the proper way to word this, so bare with me here. Clownfish have a very broad gene pool. Two clowns that appear almost identical can produce offspring, even in the same clutch of eggs, that have many different colors and patterns. It can even go beyond color and pattern to physical structure. I just bought a clarkii clownfish with a V shaped tail. It's siblings had normal tails. We see this more often in captive bred clowns than we do in wild caught clowns, not because someone is playing God, but because fish that are different in the wild usually have a much harder time surviving, finding mates, and fitting into social groups, like the ones clowns live in. Clowns don't have these problems in captivity. Just my opinion though.
