Pics pics and more pics... & Camera suggestions?

Hello!

I uploaded a bunch of pics this morning (very early!) because I decided to enter my new nano's in the contest... For those who aren't frequenting that forum - I thought I'd post my pics here too!

Also - If anyone LOVES their camera - let me know - I'm in the market for a new one - but if I don't stop buying new tanks I'll NEVER get to get one! Ha!

Heres my 12g NanoCube... Houses a GSM pair

And a room shot of where it is... on my nightstand!

Heres the pair 'asleep' this morning...

And a close up of the larger one - still needs to darken up...

Then this is my 14g BioCube - just brought it home last night!

And a room shot...

Ok - so those are all my new ones... and just for fun - here's an old one of my doggies dressed up for Christmas

Great pics. What kind of camera are you looking for? Something fancy and expensive, or just a nice point-and-shoot? If it's a point-and-shoot, this one has my interest. Greg pointed it out the other day.

Apparently it's water proof up to 10', so you could use it for underwater pictures in the tank.

Wow - Right now I have the Olympus Stylus 400 and that was supposed to be 'all weather' - before that I had the 200 series - got that when it first came out.. that was 'all weather' too... Now with these cameras I bought them through best buy with their 4 year protection plan... SO WORTH it! On my first one - after about 3 years my husband got tossed in the pool - got the 400 for free! I have to say I've been very happy with both of them - it's just been almost 4 years now for my 2nd one... I'll have to check out the new one! Wonder if Best Buy will go for the water thing again?

i love my camera. it's a powershot pro-1 (not sure if they still make it though)
the only thing that i would like it to do better is performance in less than ideal lighting conditions. but i think most cameras will suffer from that

it's pretty big, so you can't just put it in your pocket and walk around with it.

Early last year we purchased the Pentax Optio W30 for it's underwater capabilities and love it. Took it snorkeling in Hawaii in August. Great pics for around $200. A lot of features for not much cash.

Great pics!

I love my camera, but it's a couple years old and I'm sure there are better things out there now. The thing I love most about it is the settings for Apature size, Shutter speed, white balance, and the light meter, etc etc. It took me a bit to figure out how to use it,.. but now that I did I love it. You may want to check and see if whatever camera you are getting has this stuff.
