I don't have any pictures handy, VHO's are very good lighting. I have them, PC's and MH's . I like them all. All are good.

I would seriously look at T-5 lighting if you don't have the VHO's yet.
from what I've read, with the correct reflectors, T-5's of less wattage will put out the same amount of light

and I've also heard that VHO's will be phased out shortly

I'm personaly looking at switching over when I use all my VHO bulbs up

Vho's are not going to be phased out, No way they will stop making a money maker and great lighting system, They have been around for many years. If anything would be on the chopping block I would think it would be the T-5's. only because they have not really taken off yet. You hear alot of talk about T-5's but not alot of people buying them. I am not saying they are not good lights just not selling alot.

from what I've heard, it got everything to do with
the eviromental fee's that goes with producing them

but I'm not an expert on the subject
I've just learning through osmosis from discusions in my reef club

I can't find any press releases to back up the claims of VHO's being discontinued

however, what size tank?
if I had to do it over agian, I would just put (2) 175w mh bulbs on the tank and call it a day
the bulb replacment cost would be cheaper that way

I left him alone in the laundry room for 3 hours while I went to work
that's what I came home to
everything on the floor was at least 7 feet up on a shelf
or attached to the wall

If your debating PC or VHO...go VHO.

If you debating VHO or MH...go MH!

I am debating between VHO and T-5
However I still have a 1 and 1/2 years worth of VHO light before I can start looking into T5. Brought extra VHO bulds already and would have to use it up first, or atleast get someone to buy it off me.
