Pics of a super rare fish from Hawaii
My friend is in HA diving and checking out the sites. His brother owns a dive operation that supplies fish to the aquarium trade. these guys are friggen insane diving deeper every time to get really cool fish. a couple days ago they caught 2 Hol Anthias at 350 feet down.
he just sent me some pics of these babys and i figured i would share. now if i could just afford them.
it is astounding the critters that are in the deeper parts of the reef that we never see because of the difficulty of diving that deep.

what are they diving in to go that deep - I thought even 350 ft is more than a regular deco dive?

They are on rebreather systems and i got a feeling they a blowing past more than a few safety stops  you may not know but many of the more colorful fish are at deeper depths. these guys get their angels at 200+ feet because deep water angels don't eat coral. crosshatch triggers and hawiian dragon eels are at 250+ feet deep.
trust me, the deeper you go the more it costs for a fish. many of the more expensive fish in the hobby are in the deeper parts.

if i ever hit the lottery i will upgrade to a HUGE  tank just for like 10 of those great looking fish

member of the i hate fpl(florida power and light) club beacuse the just jacked up my light bill by 18% club and they made me get rid of my wifes reef tank causing mass comotion in my household.

I would say, that sounds more like borderline saturation divin, I know the old Draegers had a shallow limit, but then I havent dove in a zillion year, I was the last Pleosaur die of old age
