phyto tank advice

I've got a 2.5 gallon acrylic tank that I used to use for my cichlid babies, and since I don't want to invest in decent lighting for it, I was thinking about making it into a phyto-factory. What do I need?

Think about this for a second,... you know how Phyto is made now, all the ingrediants you use to grow it,... knowing that,... does it sound like it's the best thing for your SPS?
