Phosban reactor 150

I am thinking of picking up a phosban ractor to help with my phophate levels. I have read a couple post on here recommend NOT to run the full amount of phosban as recommend by the instructions with the unit. Something about causeing rapid tissue necrosis or causing iron poisoning? Can anyone comment? Are these good items to run for phosphate?

You should start slow FWIR, some people went right to the full ammount without trouble, but others have had problems doing that.

Good to hear from you Whiskey. What was a good "starting amount"? 20 -40 grams instead of the 150 - 200 grams?

As a side note, my tank numbers as of yesterday were:
calcium 410
Alk 3.09
Mg 1215
pH ranging from 8.0 to 8.2 with the 8.0 just before the lights come on and 8.2 before they go off. Numbers have been reproducable for the past 8 days.
