ph low alk cal high


Hi , im using Salifert tests for calcium and alk .The calcium is 480 and the alk is 5.60 meq. For ph aquarium pharm test 7.8. Iv read your ph is never low when your alk is that high. I dont understand and im getting really upset with this. phos test is red sea and reads either 0.5 or 1.0 the shadeisa light blue doesnt even match the chart really.Everything else is fine.Thank you sooo much for your help

Welcome to TRT!

My PH was always low with everything else fine, the cause of my problem was indoor CO2. Try opening up all your doors/windows, blowing air in your house and see if your PH goes up.

Or take a cup of your tank water outside, airate it for about an hour and then test the PH in that.

If either of these things makes your PH (or the PH in the cup) go up you know that's your problem.
