Peppermint shrimp eating

Ok, I just put 4 pretty good size frags of pocillipora in my tank a few days ago and the polyps are starting to disapear slowly, no bleaching just disapearing on parts of each one, I have caught my peps on them a few times now, are they, will they and do they eat pocillipora???? they are the only things I am finding on them day or night. like I said no bleaching still has great PE where it hasnt been eatin off. or could it be something I'm not seeing. the only other thing I have seen around them at night but not really on them just around them are the pods and thats it.. if its the peps then I'll have to find someone who needs 4 of them and give them away, I got them to rid the tank of aptasia and they have done there job, havent seen any apt. for at least 4 months now. so to get rid of them will not hurt my feelings.

Peps are scavengers... Never seen them on any corals before. Could there be somthing else on the corals the peps are going after???
