peppermint shrimp, could that be eggs?


i have 2 peppermint shrimp in my 20g and when i came home i found them both in the same cave and one had what looks like some orange color under her tail and the onther is clear under his tail could that be eggs

and as soon as i can get them out and get a pic i will post one

When my cleaner shrimp has fertilized eggs they turn a light green. If they are NOT fertilized they are clear and then white. I don't know about a peppermint though!

i got the one with no orange out with some flake food but the other that i have the question about will not come out the reason i think it could be eggs is i had one molt not to long ago like 3 days ago

She will lay the eggs right before she molts again. Like maybe 3 weeks. But toward the end they look fat and full and it is obvious they have eggs!
They "swim" funny!

yes, those are eggs, no way to know if they are fertilized or not, i think they hold them till they hatch then release free swimming babies into the water coloumn. good luck with them, its great to see stuff breeding in tanks!
