Peppermint shrimp bites the dust

Bought a couple of Peppermint shrimp at the LFS, and I left for an hour and than found them both dead, and one of them was being eaten by my colony of red leg hermits, I dont think the crabs did it, the other one was dead also and no crabs near him, all my parameters are right on, my temp is @83 degs though, I had got them for the aiptasia, but what was cool was my brittle star came out of the LR, and with one of his arms muscled the entire carcass from the hermits, and went back into the rock....what a scammer....but at least the hermits got a meal....I think I am going to try that "Stop Aiptaisa" stuff I have seen I will try to inject into the aiptasia....

Hey Social...

How do you like your skimmerless system, I have been thinking about converting over.....I presently have a Remora HOB skimmer on a 20 gal.....I think the skimmerless would leave me with no bubbles, and would be a lot quieter......

Bummer about the shrimp. I don't think your tank temp was the problem. How did you acclimate them?
