PC -VS- VHO...Which to choose??

I was just curious if I could get some opinions on what type of bulbs you would choose if given the choice? Power Compacts or VHO's. I plan on haveing 2x175W or 2x25W 10k halides with 2x96w Actinics. What type of actinic bulbs I have not decided yet and was hoping you all could help me make that decision :P

that would depend on the size tank, and what you want in it.. IMO..
i am planning on running 8 VHO's on my soon tobe upgraded tank.
since you are running MH, you could go either way, hte PC's will run cooler then the VHO but if you are running MH's you will be dealing with the heat /cooling anyway.. so i woudl get the VHO's

VHO's - if you well just be running actinics then the URI's are the one's to use. VHO's in the long run are less $$ than PC's to replace. IMO

And URI's have a built in reflector in them.

VHO's, for actinic. It's really a personal choice, light output is greater/watt in PC but replacement costs nix what you save. VHO's, right now, has richer colored actinic's than PC's.

I am with everyone else here and have to say Vho's are great, and You are going to go MH then the actinic VHO will do a great job.
