PC distance from water


How far should pc lighting be from water surface?

I have mine about 1-2" from the tap of the water....

My JBJ Fixture Is only 3 ½” off the water but then it does have a acrylic shield to protect the bulbs!

My computer is about 4 feet from my tank... huh.... oh! PC as in lighting.... nevermind...

I float mine !!!!

Actually the ones I have are 5 - 6 " above the water.
Mine on my main reef are really not for growth but mainly for pre halide and post halide . Like sunrise and sunset.
The other is on a fuge that is on 24/7 and grows caulerpa rather nice.
