parameters?


What parameters should I be testing? Right now I only pH ammonia, and nitrate.

Hello Styne!

PH, Ammonia, and nitrate are a good start.
You also want to look at phosphates.

If you have a reef, calcium and alkalinity are important as well.

Thats all I test for.

I am told that testing for iodine is useless, as well as most of the other tests are useless too.
I have a test for magnesium, it was given to me. I have never used it.

I have a reef tank. I have an alkalinity tester but no calcium tester. The alkalinity tester seems pretty complicated, is it, or is the just how it looks.

I dont feel any test kit is complicated, which brand do you use?
