pairs

Would it be easy to pair a true percula and a false percula?

They might pair, but whether they can/will breed is a different story.

Yeah, Keep in mind, there's no guarantee that they will pair, and percs and false percs tend to host with different things. Also, clownfish don't need an anemone to be happy. false percs will host with just about anything. Mine were hosting with the outlet to my closed loop for a while.

In the wild, ocellaris(false percs) host with the carpet anemone, which are nearly impossible to keep in captivity. They live for a long time (decades) in their natural habitat, haven't been successfully tank raised, and tend to die within a year of harvesting.

I'd think long and hard before getting an anemone of any type, particularly if your tank is less than 1 year old. Doing some searches on anemones here will reveal some issues.

I got a percula from someone taking down his tank. how can you tell if it's a true percula or false percula? a LFS just got some small perculas in and i'd like to get one to go with my existing one. the ones at the LFS are tiny.
