Pair of Clowns

I was thinking of getting a pair of either maroon clowns or a pair of clarki's (sebae) clownfish. Ideally I'm wondering if it would be possible to keep 4 ( a pair of each) safely in my 120 gallon tank. I have 2 anenomes , one seabe and one bubble tip. I know your not supposed to mix clown pairs but is it impossible? Would another species of clowns go better together? Any input is welcomed. Also does anybody know where they sell onyx clowns? Thanks!

if you add them at relatively the same time you should be fine, I had a pair of ocellaris clowns in with a WSM.

Maroon clownfish are probably the most aggressive of the clownfish. Even in a big tank like that I would hesitate because the maroon female will probably beat the punch out of the other clownfish .... whatever a picasso clown is I have no idea.

LFS give such random wierd names to fish it should be a crime and should be beat for that. It makes things difficult giving designer names.

I'm not saying that it hasnt been done - mixing clownfish species - but it's extra stress in a tank that would be better lived without and if you are going to comingle clown sp. Maroons are NOT a good one to start with.

Picasso clown are from a company called ora. They are one of the top clown breeders around plus they offer some awesome corals and other types of salt water fish.
