if you are going barebottom paint the bottom too.

As Wasabi said, acrylic enamel is the best on glass. I use semi-gloss black High-Performance Rustoleum from Home Depot. I bought in a spray and it took about 7 light coats to do. Looks great through the glass.

You can also scrap it with a razor blade very easily.

I know Wasabi and he is sick, I don't think the fumes have much to do with that )
But he is a successful painter so he should know paint
