Ozonizers and sterilizers good or bad

I read mixed reviews all the time about Ozonizers and sterilizers... What are ur thoughts on it... I don't want to spend the money if its not gonna benefit my tank... I want my fish and inverts happy... I read that if a Ozonizer is used improperly it can kill my fish fast and maybe harm me or anyone else in my house plus it makes all the plastics brittle over time... What are ur thoughts??? Thanks...

Yes it can and so many other things will kill your fish too!I've used it for over ten yrs!

Most people who run ozone seem to like it. I run a UV and I like it alot. I definitely know when its not running.
