If you are going to use ozone make sure it is hooked up to an orp meter and a controller to shut it off so you do not over dose the system. Also make sure there is carbon on the top of the skimmers collection cup to eliminate the residual ozone. Ozone is really not needed if the tank has good biological and anerobic bacteria. If your plankton bloom is algae you may just want to do a few good water changes to help eliminate the extra nutrients that it is feeding on. Make sure that this is ro(may even want to add a di or two after the ro) water. If the tank is new and the rock is just breaking in the ozone should not be used.

If you must use it. It has a dial that you can adjust. You can look into a controller if you would like to use it safely. You are using about 15 mg/hr?? This unit produces about 30 mg/hr. A dryer increases the mg/hr are you using a dryer?

A dryer is usually a set of beads in a canister that is hooked up to the air intake of the ozone unit. This dries the air out to make the ozone generate work more efficientlly. Depending on how humid the surrounding air is depends on how much the dryer is needed.. Here in Fl we have a good amount of hummidity and is needed to get the unit to run at its best. If the unit is located under the cabnet near the sump you will get some humidity from that as well. If you have dry days in Or you could just locate the air intake out away from the sump. Also hooking the outlet of the ozone to the intake of your skimmer might increase the efficientcy of the ozone contacting your water. If you do make sure you have some carbon on the lid of your skimmer to help reduce the residual ozone. I still would recomend gettting an orp/controller to keep the use of the ozone safe.
