What are you considering overstocked?

What do you consider low pH?

What brand of salt do you use?

Skimmer? Powerheads? Water movement?

What method do you use to regulate pH? (i.e. Kalk, 2-Part, etc)

I would guess being overstocked is not lowering your pH, it may be contributing, but not directly lowering.

Is your tank covered? Have you tried running an airtube outside to get less CO2? What is your KH? Is your Ph steady or does it swing? how are you testing it?

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

When you experience a large drop in your pH level that will indicate theres an increase in carbon dioxide or the nitrogenous fish wastes.
